On the Local Level Summer 2013
Left: YOUNG FARMERS & RANCHERS and FFA members from Avery, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, Wilkes and Yadkin counties hosted a Sporting Clays Tournament April 6 at Hunting Creek Preserve. The event raised $2,185 for the R. Flake Shaw scholarship and Northwest FFA Region endowment. Alexander, Caldwell, Catawba, Iredell, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin county Farm Bureaus sponsored the event. Corporate sponsors were James River Equipment, Southern Farm Supply, Crop Production Services (Jefferson and Yadkinville), Corriher Tractor, Perdue Farms Inc., Carolina Farm Credit and NCFB Mutual Insurance Company.
