Christmas in July

No need to head to the North Pole to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus this summer. He will be making an appearance at the Christmas in July festival in downtown West Jefferson. The annual celebration, which started in 1987, draws thousands each year and helps promote tourism in Ashe County.
The event celebrates area’s Christmas tree industry with fun competitions, more than 20 mouthwatering food vendors, live music and a visit from Mrs. Claus and Santa himself.
